Description
Sonny Rollins Work Time Prestige 7020 mono "446 W. 50th St., N.Y.C." label
Sonny Rollins (ts), Ray Bryant (piano) George Morrow (b), Max Roach (d) Recorded 1955
Label is "446 W. 50th St., N.Y.C." and deep groove on both sides. "RVG" is in the runout on both sides. Record has groove guard. Cover has "446 West 50th Street, New York 19, N.Y." address. Cover is a frame cover without printing on the spine.
Record looks VG- and plays better than it looks at overall VG. The ballad on Side 2 plays VG-, the rest of the side near VG+. Both sides of record have lots of scuffs and some light scratches. No real deep "thumping" scratches. Marks look like automatic changer and unsleeved stacking damage. Grooves do not look heavily worn. The record plays without distortion and the music is above the level of the surface noise which is mainly of the "steady" type. This is not a clean copy of the record but it plays enjoyably and it is not "hacked"or "whipped".
Cover is VG
Front cover has moderate wear and looks fairly good. There's a small spot of laminate missing at top corner. Heavy wear at other corners. Bottom seam split app 1 inch at the pocket and is untaped. Back cover shows some moderate wear and has name written top, near the pocket.
