Description

Second mono pressing of Sonny Rollins "A Night at the Village Vanguard" on the West 63rd Street labels of Blue Note BLP 1581: deep groove labels, "ear" and "RVG" in the run-off, as well as "INC" in the address and the registration symbol at the label bottom. The playing surface is flawless; clean and bright, perhaps played once or twice. The laminated cover, with no address or spine identification - as originally issued - is in beautiful condition: sharp corners, bright and clean throughout. Personnel includes Wilbur Ware, Elvin Jones and Pete LaRoca.
