Description

This is the original RVG-etched deep-groove pressing of Sonny Rollins on the yellow and black West 50th Street labels of Prestige PRLP 7020. The Side 1 playing surface is in near-new condition, while Side 2 has a single inaudible handling mark. Both sides have a high luster; perhaps played once or twice. The original non-laminated frame cover has the West 50th Street address: wear along the bottom seam, a 1" split at the opening, and a worn lower right corner; the back slick has a 1/8" chip at the lower left corner and two ¼" closed tears along the right edge. Artwork is by Gill Melle. Personnel includes the Modern Jazz Quartet, Kenny Drew, Percy Heath, and Art Blakey.
