Description
This album was purchased new from Middleton`s, Wolverhampton, in 1960 or 61.. The disc is in near mint condition and plays perfectly, without jumps and one only "click" near the end of Count Your Blessings. Side B has five small, shallow dimples (pressing faults) which do not affect audio. The run offs are engraved RVG and PRLP-7038-A (or B as appropriate)
Prestige Records supplied the dies for Esquire to manufacture the discs.
The partially laminated, thin card outer sleeve is sound, without splits or tears, but one shallow crease on the front, above "george morrow". A very faint ring mark to both sides and a few finger marks on the back. Clear tape to the edges of the slot, now removed, has resulted in staining, more obvious on the back.
Titles: Valse Hot, Kiss and Run, I Feel a Song Comin` On, Count Your Blessings, Pent-Up House. Personnel: Rollins tenor, Clifford Brown tpt., Richie Powell pno., George Morrow bass, Max Roach drums. Recorded: 22 March 1956
