Description
Sonny Scott – Red Cross Blues / Coal Mountain Blues
Vocalion 25012
Recorded in New York City 1933
Graded/Plays V- Quite
playable still, but distortion and heavy greying in loud passages. Music
remains loud in most passages. Surface noise and scratches well below music
level
10" 78 RPM Shellac Record
When on the hunt for Sonny Scott
originals a few years ago, this was the best copy that could be found. Unfortunately, the label is somewhat beat but
if you can overlook two jumps on ‘Red Cross Blues’, this plays surprisingly
well. There is some surface noise but you
can hear Sonny Scott’s vocals and guitar without strain.
The colossal 'Red Cross
Blues' is the first of two versions which Sonny Scott cut.
Comes from a smoke-free home
