Sonny Terry: Sonny Is King Prestige/Bluesville 1059 Analogue Productions Stereo: Near Mint/Near Mint  Vinyl is super clean Near Mint played only by me once! The only flaw is about a very minor 1" scuff on Side C.   I played it last night and this sounds absolutely fantastic. AP pressings are known for their fantastic fidelity.  Limited Edition # 0154 of 250!  Cover is super clean and still looks brand new with super nice gloss. The only flaw is that the bottom edge has become unglued and rather than gluing it back together I will leave that up to the purchaser.  They put on a very thin bead of glue at the factory.  Original plastic lined paper inner sleeve is in excellent condition. Original plastic wrap is not included.  

Although their styles were regions apart and they’d never performed together previously, Georgia harmonica ace Sonny Terry and Texas guitar titan Lightnin’ Hopkins fit like foot in sock when producer Kenneth S. Goldstein paired them at Rudy Van Gelder’s studio on October 26, 1960. As LeRoi Jones observed in the original album notes, “There is a meeting of ways, where the light and the sad seem to come together simply as blues.” Selections six through 10 were recorded the following year, and Terry was back in the more familiar company of another great guitarist, his longtime partner Brownie McGhee.

I am selling off my entire rock and roll and Jazz collection that I've been collecting for over 40 years.  This is a fantastic sounding mix and it sounds fantastic! You all know that the 60's, 70's and 80's vinyl pressings are the way to go and the recording, mastering, quality, and sound are FANTASTIC! You won't find this stuff anymore. Just take a listen for yourself like I did.

Condition: I grade according to Goldmine standards. That means a VG+ vinyl will be just that, an LP that is in beautiful condtion! I am very picky when it comes to grading and grade to Goldmine standards. I absolutely hate it when dealers ameliorate the condition of the vinyl!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Especially when I am the buyer!! All my Lp's have been stored in my house upright on a shelf in an air conditioned and dry environment, meaning no warping, staining or mildew! The viny has just the tiniest of hairlines and the white labels are gorgeous! No pops, tics or scratchiness. Just pure analog mono bliss!
