Description
About This Record. This is an auction for an original copy of the infamous The Sons of Champlin 2LP on USA Capitol Records entitled Loosen Up Naturally from 1968 or so. Its infamous because the wierd acid tinged psychedelic art cover has, buried in it on both sides the word f***king in very small black handwritten letters in the box that says "Big Deal". Very discreet, but very upsetting to Capitol Records who had employees scratch off by hand the offending word on every copy they could get their hands on. Next time you find one with the original Capitol Rainbow labels (like this one), feel the cover and you can feel where the scratch is, and where the small offending word is written. I tried to take a picture, but it is hard to do (see second photo).
No Reserve! (I'll be sporting)
Check back for more rare Jazz, Psych, Rock Blues LPs (I don't sell common stuff that is a waste of your time or my time). See all the photos I took which are attached and should answer any question you have.
About Me. I have been a Record Collector for over 35 years. With two kids in college, I often sell records so I can buy more vinyl or, in this case, pay the last college tuition bills of the year! 99% of what I sell is vinyl; read my Feedback! I don't sell Craaap; only stuff that I deem worthy so please inspect closely and often. Common LPs are a waste of your time and mine. I NEVER sell common LPs, so I encourage you to look at whatever vinyl I sell, because it must be special. Please, READ my feedback!
PLEASE NOTE: I work for eBay and eBay company policy requires that I inform any potential bidders of this fact, and direct them through the following link to the eBay Code that I have to abide by as an eBay employee: http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/everyone-employee.html
No, I don't work in the collectibles division or anything, I'm just a regular eBay employee.
Vinyl Condition. The 2LP vinyl is EX with light marks, plays EX+.
Label Condition. Near Mint.
The Insert. The very rare and fragile art insert is in Near Mint condition since Wright has stored his so well!
Cover Condition. Strong EX Gatefold cover. This is the nicest cover I have ever seen of this in its original form. The white cover is usually very dulled, and the cover has lots of tape and or split seams. This copy has only one inch of seam split top right on back gatefold, and some minor cover wear (touch of ring wear if you look real closely). Very clean sharp white cover keeper copy. I repeat, this is the NICEST cover I have ever seen or heard of. I've stored it carefully for many years.
Shipping and Payment. PayPal only. I ship promptly worldwide and do not overcharge for shipping . . . contact me if you paid more than the USPS postage sticker on your package and I’ll happily refund you the difference. I will ship by any method you want. But if you do not insure, the record will be shipped at your own risk. I offer full refund on all records including shipping both ways.
