 Sons of The Vegetal Mother: The Garden Party EP, Custom Pressing, MP-465, 1970.

Ridiculously hard to find relic from the heady days of Australian rock circa 1970.

This EP was only made available as a givaway at an exhibition/happening at The Age Gallery, in Melbourne back in 1970, and is the only release by this seminal band that members went on the following year to great success with Daddy Cool.

It is a 3 track EP (at 33 1/3 RPM), with for me the feature being the side long workout "Love is the Law"based on the Alistair Crowley message.

What makes this copy even rarer is the fact that it comes with the catalogue card from the exhibition.

The black "texta" marks on the labels and the card were made by the band, self editing printing errors (such as incorrect songwritting credits).

Do not expect to find another one of these soon, it really is one of the rarest psychedelic artifacts to come out of the Australian music scene.

clean, except for the said texta marks explained earlier.

Vinyl

nice, glossy, has some light hairlines and a few light scratches (nothing drastic) but does play with the occasional light pop.

Sleeve

plain.
