Description

A rare Simply Vinyl audiophile copy of Soul II Soul - Volume IV The Classic Singles 88-93 SVLP 313
Originally released in 1993 on the Virgin label , this is the superior Simply Vinyl 2001 European version pressed on 2 x 180g heavyweight vinyl with the Simply Vinyl holograph sticker on the rear ( the clear SV archival outer sleeve is missing). Includes original & remix versions of Back To Life, Keep On Movin' and Joy plus other S2S club classics (see photos for full track listing)
Both records have been ultrasonically cleaned in our amazing Degritter and the vinyl has come up spotlessly clean and shiny. There are numerous large scuffs, hairlines, and marks visible ( see photos), Sides A & B have more marks, Sides C & D are slightly better. The labels are clean with some silver spindle trails visible. Graded G+ visually but plays mostly better, VG or VG+ in parts - see notes below.
We played both records to test paying particular attention to the marked areas.  Dense, panoramic & totally mesmerising sound, swirling & sweeping, with huge depth and off the scale dynamic range - a real tour de force and a completely engaging listening experience. There is surface noise/crackle, most apparent between tracks, but no jumping, skating or sticking - the vinyl plays through as it should. Sides C & D play more cleanly.
The cardboard sleeve is solid and robust with surface wear, shelf wear to edges, corner rubbing plus ringwear. No splits, writing, stains, tape or tears.
Both records have been given new poly inner sleeves to keep them pristine after cleaning.
