The 1994 Launch Context
When A&M Records launched the album on 8 March 1994, they distributed a few coloured variants to different markets. The translucent orange variant was widely distributed across Europe and the US, while the translucent blue variant was primarily targeted toward the UK/European markets, alongside a more limited run in the United States. Because vinyl production was at an all-time low in 1994 due to the dominance of CDs, the production numbers for these coloured runs were exceptionally small, driving up their long-term scarcity.
