“These are two of Soundgarden's greatest early songs. They really showcase the muddy, down-tuned psychedelia of their early days. Both are extremely compelling, and are two of the only songs from this era they still play live; unlike a lot of their first EP and the Ultramega OK album, they don't sound at all awkward or inexperienced on these songs. "Nothing to Say" is the first example of Chris Cornell's amazing voice in their catalog, and it's still one of their more vocally impressive songs. If you only know their later work, the super-muddy lo-fi production could take getting used to, but there is serious greatness entombed in the noise. These are also remastered, so they do sound a little clearer and harder-hitting than the original single. I recommend it if you love '80s Soundgarden, early Sub Pop grunge, on pretty orange vinyl.”
