Description
An original 1987 Sub Pop SP12 pressing of Soundgarden’s debut EP — a foundational Seattle record from the period before Soundgarden became an international rock powerhouse.
Screaming Life was Soundgarden’s first EP, released by Sub Pop in 1987, featuring the early lineup of Chris Cornell, Kim Thayil, Hiro Yamamoto and Matt Cameron. Recorded at Seattle’s legendary Reciprocal Recording and produced by Jack Endino with Soundgarden, these six tracks capture the band at ground zero of what would become the Seattle grunge movement.
This is the original-era US Sub Pop SP12 black-vinyl pressing, not the later Screaming Life/Fopp compilation or modern reissue. The period sleeve carries the ©1987 Sub Pop credit and “Jacket Made in Canada.”
