Description
This album rarely turns up, I've cut and pasted a nice bio from the net -
After the Australian proto-metal/hard rock/heavy psych band Buffalo disbanded in 1975 after three fantastic releases, "Dead Forever"(1972), "Volcanic Rock"(1973) and "Only Want You For Your Body(1974), guitarist John Baxter and vocalist Alan Milano formed Southern Cross the following year. Guitarist Bruce Cummings was later added but due to musical differences, John Baxter left the band and their self-titled debut was released in 1976 though some of Baxter's songs were included on the album. More a melodic hard rock than that of Buffalo and comparisons can be made to the sound and style of fellow Aussie's, The Master's Apprentices and Blackfeather and do I dare say some of the tracks have a little of that polished AOR hard rock gloss that was typical of the mid/late '70's.
As you can see from the pics there is writing on the cover but the front graphics are nice, has ringwear and ageing on the back from storage but all seams and spine are ok. The vinyl is a radiant near mint, several tiny superficial hairlines, I doubt it's ever been played except for my test play which was also NM! As noted, this is very hard to find!
