Description
Original 1996 UK first pressing of Spiders, the debut album by Space, released on Gut Records (catalogue number GUTLP1).
A classic mid-90s Britpop-era release, the album combines indie rock, pop melodies and quirky storytelling lyrics, helping the Liverpool band become one of the most distinctive acts of the period. The record achieved significant commercial success and remains the band’s best-known album.
The LP includes the hit single Female of the Species, one of the most recognisable tracks of the 1990s alternative scene.
Original UK vinyl copies are increasingly collectible, as many albums from the Britpop era were pressed in far smaller quantities on vinyl than CD.
