This is a vinyl lp of Sparklehorse' album Vivadixiesubmarinetransmissionplot, this is issue also comes with an additional 33rpm vinyl with the songs 'Waiting for nothing' and 'Happy Place'. Sparklehorse is one of my favourite artists and I received this new around 7 years ago. It has not had much use because I haven't made a habit of using my record player and as such I think it would be appreciated more by somebody else.
The condition is good, please refer to the pictures for best details on this. The cover/outer sleeve is very good save for some slight wear; it hasn't been kept in a protective sleeve so there is some very superficial scratching if you hold it up to the light, but this is only on very close inspection. The inner sleeve is slightly creased, but it is just some paper and it still does the job. The record itself has some marks lines which are visible when held up to the light, the majority of which seem to have very little impact on playback. However, on side A there is intermittent crackling which recurs infrequently most noticeably on the quieter songs. On side B there are some pops which appear towards the end of the second track 'Most Beautiful Widow in Town' and the end of the final track 'Gasoline Horseys', they aren't offensively loud and probably only cover less than 30 seconds of each songs. As a consumer, they don't much or at all affect my enjoyment of the record and, fortunately, are not too at odds with the sound on the production of the record. For somebody more discerning who prizes clarity in their records I can see that these imperfections would be frustrating. The bonus 33rpm is in fantastic condition with no apparent flaws in playback or visually. As such I'd say that the condition overall is good. I don't want to oversell as I'm not a big vinyl dealer and am not an expert on assessing the condition so I don't want to mislead anyone, but it looks great on a shelf and plays through pretty well on the turntable; and of course, it's a fantastic album.
It's a great shame about the imperfections on playback, but I know that this object still has a lot to offer so I've tried to price fairly given the rarity of the record and those slight imperfections.
