Sparks: The Seduction of Ingmar Bergman. Two LPs. Opened, never played.
I'm old enough to have bought Kimono My House when it was a new release and I've been a Sparks fan ever since. I was very curious about this record when it came out in 2009 but, frankly, my turntable listening has simply atrophied. Although I opened the jacket and looked through the lyrics booklet I never played the vinyl. The records have never been removed from their sleeves. I bought the CDs when they were finally released, ended up not loving the album. But later I saw them in Los Angeles at the end of the Two Hands, One Mouth tour where they performed three cuts. In concert that material was surprisingly powerful and I revised my opinion.
But that's beside the point.
It's been a great year for Sparks, with the Sparks Brothers documentary and their own movie, Annette, released, and I presume there are many, many new fans. Perhaps you are among them. Welcome.
Feel free to get in touch with any questions.
