Description
Special Affects - "Mood Music" 7" EP!!!
Up for bid here is the ultra-rare first EP by Chicago punk/new-wave band, Special Affects.
Self-released all the way back in 1979, this record is not only super-obscure and legendary, but the band and music rocks, too.
Band lineup is Franke Nardiello - vocals, Marty Sorensen - bass, Tom Hoffman - guitar, Harry Rushakoff - drums.
Franke (aka - Frankie Nardiello, aka - Groovie Mann) moved on to UK new-wave band, Drowning Craze, then back to Chicago to eventually front Industrial legend, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult.
Tom Hoffman was eventually replaced by none other than Al Jourgensen (Ministry, Revolting Cocks, Pailhead, etc.)
Harry Rushakoff moved on to play drums with Concrete Blonde.
This record (label # 2955) is the predecessor to the Special Affect "Too Much Soft Living" LP (which I'll also have up for bid!) and was purchased at the original Wax Trax! record store in Chicago.
