Description

This is part of a big auction of mainly Specialty Records 7" 45's. Specialty recorded many great artists in the blues, R&B & gospel genres among others. All of those will be represented. There will also be a nice selection of rare bonus listings.

Release: Guitar Slim and His Band - Think It Over / Quicksand

Format: 45 rpm 7" single


Year: 1955


Notes: White & yellow label first pressing. Early single by Slim who was a major influence on the next wave of electric bluesmen.  A-side here is an absolutely stellar track. 


Vinyl Condition: VG+, vinyl is in great shape with hardly any wear at all. Looks very clean and sounds great with no skips/ticks/bumps, plays with hardly any background noise at all.  Labels are nice with original gloss, no tearing/stickers. There is some scuffing on Think It Over side, but not too bad. This is a nice copy overall.


Sleeve Condition: VG, Original outer sleeve has some light wrinkles and a small pencil number on the back, but no tears or splits. Nice shape overall. VG to VG+.
