Description
SPEED Down The Road - original UK 7" single 1980
Released on the Speed Records - the Ultra rare blue label with silver lettering
Tracks include: Down the Road (side A) and Man in The Street (side B)
This is the first recorded single by Iron Maiden's frontman Bruce Dickinson (aka Bruce Bruce) who was on loan from Samson at the time. Several months earlier Iron Maiden had released their first single "The Soundhouse Tapes". However Bruce was later headhunted to join Iron Maiden because of his exemplary vocal talents.
This record I feel is even rarer than the original Soundhouse Tapes (which I also have listed for sale), especially in this condition. Check out NWOBHM web sites to see how rare this single is. Comes complete with the original thin white paper sleeve and original paper insert with photos of the band on one side and printed titles on the other, the insert shows very little signs of age and the vinyl is superb with only a few minor surface marks, a must have item for any collection.
A unique must have item for any serious Iron Maiden collectors/ fans.
