Description

An original 1st press of 2nd on Fontana. Matrix 1/1. Label consistent with 1st issue but this is very 1st press. Note the inner sleeve is dated Jan'66 one month before official release. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original cover with mention of Island distribution. Note how, on later copies, an Island logo appears. This is not present on very 1st pressings. Genuine inner sleeve. 100% complete and genuine.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In super condition and has only seen slight use. There are a couple of slight marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are really nice and clean and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Very little sign of background even into the quieter moments. Even the super fussy 'Georgia' plays pretty much perfect - a hard find. A couple of crackles in a couple of spots per side. Absolutely superb. Very impressive with little to complain at. You won't ever find a better player.
Cover (Ex-) Very nice clean flat front not much sign of ageing. The rear is only exhibiting faint signs of ageing right at the edges. Very impressive - most copies look rubbish on the rear. Real  nice - this one. Not much sign of edge wear and firm openings. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. Spine is 100% intact.
