Description
Very pleased to be able to offer two Spirogyra LP's, first pressings, St Radigunds and Bells Boots and Shambles.
Starting off with Bells, Boots and Shambles. This is the original Polydor pressing from 1973, 2310-246 A/B "Let The Brain Take The Strain" "Porky" Matrix.
The sleeve is in "Good" condition. On the front, it has creases primarily to the corners. On the rear of the sleeve there is less creasing and again concentrated mainly on the corners. Otherwise the spine is in very good condition, complete and undamaged. There are no other marks or inscriptions present.
The inner sleeve. may or may not be the original. I suspect not because the last one I sold had adverts on it. It is however a Polydor marked inner sleeve. The inner label is in mint condition.
Please see the photos for condition details. Hopefully they give a better idea of the condition than my attempts.
Vinyl condition - I always Play test my vinyl before selling. First off visually it looks very good. No inner sleeve scuffing, clean but closer inspection does reveal a total of four scratches (yes I counted them). Thankfully on the louder tracks this doesn't affect the listening pleasure at all. The only time the scratch was audible was momentarily on Old Boot Wine. Having listened carefully I can confirm no jumps, no sticks and no Hiss. So "play worn" but overall condition is V Good.
St Radigunds - Original 1971 pressing on B & C Records Cas 1042, Matrix CAS 1042A-2U/B-1U.
No so well looked after as Bells, the outer sleeve has scuffing around the outer and the spine is worn. The front has the remnants of a sticker top right and a name has been written on it, although thankfully it doesn't exactly jump out at you. The rear sleeve has no marks and looks better.
The inner sleeve is the original complete with lyrics. Again scuffed with a tear at the top and the name written on it again (I've had a word). Again I would hope that the photos tell the complete story. The inner label is undamaged and unmarked.
Vinyl Condition - Visually this wasn't too promising. I like my vinyl flawless but there are a few obvious scuffs and scratches here, which is why I always play it through. Thankfully it plays much better than it looks. Minimal or no hiss, definitely no jumps or sticks. I found it played at V Good grading level.
Please make any offers realistic and genuine. These are two incredibly rare classic LP's as you well know.
