This is the very first press of a classic album by Spooky Tooth / Pierre Henry. Stampers A//1 B//1 indicate the absolute rarity of this copy and not just that ..... this is the actual very FIRST PRESS.
A heavy slab of pure quality Island glossy vinyl with a deep as new sheen. The vinyl looks PRISTINE and I played it all the way through, it sounds STUNNING, both sides are UNMARKED, AMAZING!!!!! Not even any paper scuffs!!!!These first pressings are heavy vinyl and absolute quality!!
Re-issues do just not measure up to the depth of the sound. This is just awesome!!! NO jumps, NO pops and NO skips. There is NO crackling or static noise. I played this album on my Linn Sondek turntable linked up with a Rotel amplifier and B&W floorstanders. This system will reveal any flaw. The great news is that this vinyl is as good as virgin, with 1 or 2 plays at the very most!!!! A definite VAULT KEEPER copy!!!!
The matt gatefold sleeve (EX-) has only one small crease and is nice and straight . Some rubbing on the edges and corners . The spine is fully legible. There is one sticker removal mark to the top right corner. These Island matt sleeves are renowned for wear like e.g. King Crimson's "Court". Such a shame that Island did not laminate their sleeves. NO writing, No scribbles. The inside gatefold is unmarked.
Labels are NM without any writing and there are only a few faint spindle marks.
