Description
I don't think I need to explain how rare South African 60s beat garage psych LP's are. Here's a 1968 original on NEM records by the Staccatos. Its entitled 'Hear and now'. Liners say ' This, is a mirror, it reflects a part of our times, a package plan of the nostalgia of the now, a mixture of the sounds of yesterday, last night, last week, an evergreen, a bunch of bright balloons, joyriding through the tunnel of the colourful new approach to pop-music. Plug in! Tune in! Turn on!'. Music is a mix of really everything happening around this time. Has a breathtakingly heavy fuzzed up version of ' Shake your money maker'. A fantastic freakbeat classic like the Creation 'Imitation of love'. Period psych, beat, Byrds-like jangly stuff and overall a rather uncoherent mod atmosphere. Interesting artefact. Mix of covers and originals. The white stripes on the sleeve on the URL are printed part of the design so no wear! RARE! Cheques/ IMO, add 7$ clearance. I accept paypal and cash. We pack once a week.
