Description
You´re bidding on the LP:
Staff Carpenborg And The Electric Corona - Fantastic Party (Maritim 47102 NT, Germany 1970?)
Don´t be fooled by this record´s title and cover! Looks like Easy Listening but the music on this LP is some of the most far-out Psychedelic Underground Krautrock ever recorded! Strange disjointed rhythms, cheesy organ, crazy Fuzz guitar, pumping (sometimes almost funky) basslines, soloing slide-whistle, weird electronic sounds, an obviously halfconscious singer mumbling crazy lyrics, all packed with Dub-like sound effects and echo - almost impossible to describe (well, someone described this record as "sounding like Can on bad drugs"). Perfectly matching song titles like "Swing low, if you like to do" or "Shummy Poor Clessford Idea In Troody Taprest Noodles". It is subtitled " Dance record for hot hours", well, this might even make sense if your idea of dancing is to stumble around a dance floor half-conscious and hallucinating after having dropped Acid or similar stuff. Nobody knows who the musicians on this LP were, was released on the same cheapo label that was also responsible for the first release of Hairy Chapter´s debut LP (aka Chaparall Electric Sound Inc. - Electric Sound for Dancing). Almost impossible to find this record - I´m quite sure that most copies were destroyed by annoyed people who had bought it thinking this was cool lounge music for their next cocktail party......
Some songs from this weird masterpiece of Psychedelic Krautrock have been comp´d on " Kraut! Demons! Kraut!", was never reissued and only few copies are known in the hands of lucky collectors. It took me more than 10 years to find a better copy than this, so here´s my old one up for sale, don´t miss it!
