Greetings fellow lovers of rare records!! I’ve finally decided to make good on my threats to retire to some ramshackle hut in the middle of the desert and live out the rest of my days in a solitary, unabomber-like fashion. These sorts of ‘lifestyle choices’ require considerable amounts of cash on hand, however, so it’s time to jettison these sandbags in favor of some readily available (and unmarked) lucre. Stalin – Trash (1981, Political). Vinyl = NM / Sleeve = EX. No introduction really needs to be made for this record as it remains one of the rarest, if not THE rarest, and most desirable Japanese punk recs. Pressed up in a micro-pressing in ’81 (300 copies sounds excessive), this record has caused collectors worldwide to ache with much misplaced longing for its arrival into their collections. Word on the street is that DROPDEAD’s drummer swore he’d never wear shoes onstage if he scored a copy. Hippie. The vinyl for this record is in beautiful condition. The sleeve would be, too, if it weren’t for a small corner crunch on the right hand corner and a small dent right above it. These small defects in no way deter from one of the most beautiful/ugly sleeves ever. The jacket also has only the slightest hint of the ring-wear that’s typical of this predominantly white sleeve. God, I wish my future home had electricity--I’m really tempted to keep this one. I’ve never seen another one of these on eBay and this will undoubtedly be your only chance to purchase a copy as clean as this. So sorry, but insurance is mandatory on this purchase, as I expect it to go for a considerable sum and I’m not about to remain liable for its ‘loss’.
