Description

Well after many years doing auctions on eBay, I think I'm going to start listing inventory here, without an auction. Priorly, I've always started all auctions at $4.99, but right now I have a lot of records sitting around to comb through, so I think I'll just list a handful every weekend when I can.
A Turrentine classic! Playing with his wife no less! Turrentine has always been at the top of my list for smooth sounding bop, and I'm a big fan of his '60s stuff. Luckily this copy is an original '60s press -- quite heavy as well. Not only am I a Turrentine fan, I'm a big fan of the heavier Van Gelder Plastylite pressings.

Vinyl:  (VG (6.0 of 10): Good lustre, but has mostly scuffing. Music is quite loud however, and it plays very nicely. A text book VG, decent lustre, but has paper scuffing, and a bit more serious scuffing, but nothing deeper than surface. Perhaps a few scratches, but it really is mostly scuffing with this one. Solid player, and with everything a collector wants: Deep groove (one side), "VAN GELDER" runout stamp, ear, , New York trademark label, mono copy.  

Cover: VG- (5.0 of 10): Cover could use some help. Gloss is fully intact, and colors look decent enough. Age is prominent. 4" split on top seam; 6" split on bottom.
VINYL WEIGHT: 165g-170g
Additional Notes: Labels have writing. Strongis spine: some writing smudging. Hints of chipping on seams. Minimal shelfwear. _____________________________________________________________________

Regarding Grading: I always use the standard G-VG+ scale. I, however, absolutely never use the word "mint" because I don't believe I've ever found a mint record -- even sealed ones. The highest I go is VG+. I use a number system to get a bit more specific.

The number: my number system gets a bit more granular. For the record, it's meant to reflect more the audio quality and overall aesthetic. For the cover, it reflects overall preservation, gloss, and damage, if there is any.

* I always vacuum clean my records. They've all gone through a three step solution process with a vacuum cleaning machine I built.
** All records are shipped in record boxes.

*** All records are shipped with a plastic sleeve, and the records will be shipped OUTSIDE the cover.

Shipping is a standard $4 domestic, and by weight international ... so CHECK YOU INTERNATIONAL PEOPLE. Shipping is expensive these days -- don't shoot the messenger.
