Description
You are looking at an awesome Liberty Blue Note Stanley Turrentine LP. This release of Stanley's "Rough 'N Tumble" is super rare in that it is one of the early Liberty Blue Note Records MONO/Promotional Only copies. Please note, this record was released in 1966 after the sale to Liberty Records, thus (as far as I know) there is NO "original" BLUE NOTE copy of this record. The sleeve has all the indicators of being a mono promotion as it has: a red stamping reading "promotional not for sale", the MONO numbers on the upper-right side of the sleeve, and the New York address on the back bottom with Monaural on the bottom right below it. The vinyl itself has the labels indicative of the 1966 mono press as it has the Blue Note Records Inc - New York USA label, the run out etchings on side one read "BNLP-4240 A" and side two "BNLP-4240 B", and it has the VAN GELDER stamping on both sides. If you are an avid Blue Note collector, you know what all this means. There are some anomalies in the appearance, labels, run out stamping/etchings, etcetera with the early Liberty years. So if you see anything problematic with my description or the photographs, PLEASE let me know. I believe it to be authentic in every way I've described, and I don't want any returns; so please feel free to ask any questions or make me an offer. The vinyl looks like it is in really good condition, no visible scratches that I can see. The record will come shipped in a hard-shell top-loader for protection and display in a larger box. Free domestic media mail and tracking. International shipping available. Thanks for your interest, and happy ebaying!!!
