Description

Up for auction is the incredibly rare Staple Singers first record on Royal Records (from 1953 I believe) out of Chicago. The song titles are These are They and Faith and Grace. I can't say enough about this record. In doing research I've not seen any other photos of this record. This was the 1st record put out by the Staple Singers on Pop Staples own Royal Records. Very Historic for this Rock and Roll Hall of Fame group. These are They is just an incredible song full of power - just a great record a preview of the things to come. Faith and Grace is more traditional gospel but still powerful nonetheless. Record is in nice shape - great looking labels, record probably plays a strong VG possibly a VGplus, but does have some surface noise, very little crackle pop. My record player that I test 78's on is very tinny and not the best to listen to these on - It would probably sound even more fantastic on a turntable meant to play 78's. Don't miss this record a true rarity on Ebay - a chance to own a museum piece - so bid accordingly. International bidders are okay - record will be shipped very protected.
