Description

Original Star Wars Christmas in the Stars (1980) internal test pressing. This was an internal RSO pre-production pressing for approval before mastering. Vinyl, not acetate. Songs are different mixes than the released retail version. All but 2 tracks are longer than the released versions. Some are significantly longer. With printed RSO internal info sheet detailing release info. Jon Bon Jovi (John Bongiovi, his birth name), sang lead vocals on the song "R2-D2 We Wish You A Merry Christmas. This is Jon Bon Jovi’s 1st commercial release. And this version is a slightly different mix. Record is near mint. Very slight surface scratches that you need to hold the record up to a bright light to see. Cover is a plain/blank cover with an RSO internal info sheet taped on the front. Is this the only copy? I don’t know. I wouldn’t be surprised. But there is no doubt that this is extremely rare. Unfortunately I don't have the equipment to digitize the recording for samples. I purchased this at an estate sale. I don't know the story behind this or how the previous owner obtained it. Buyer pays shipping and insurance. Overseas buyers please don’t request a shipping quote until you win the auction.
