Reference Recordings RR-21: “Star of Wonder, Music for the Season”, San Francisco Choral Artists, Ralph Hooper, Director – This 33 rpm analogue recording has been praised for its natural sound quality and musicality. It spent many years HP's TAS Super Disk List, and the sound has a wonderful hall ambiance. Recorded in St. Ignatius Church in San Francisco by Keith Johnson, and mastered by Doug Sax, the sound of the church is captured perfectly. This copy is virtually perfect – I purchased it myself when it was first released, and have played it only twice. The vinyl surfaces are clean, glossy, and exceptionally quiet, with NO marks whatsoever. The vinyl looks and plays mint (M). The labels also look new as does the jacket (see photos). In summary, this is a MINT copy of this wonderful audiophile analogue recording. Feel free to return for a full refund if not completely satisfied.
