Description
Factory-sealed original pressing of Ain't That What It's All About by the Statesmen Quartet on CAM Records (catalog no. TS1422), released 1974.
Along with the Blackwood Brothers, the Statesmen were considered the most successful and influential Southern Gospel quartet of the 1950s and '60s — a direct inspiration to Elvis Presley and a template for every professional quartet that followed. They were inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 1998.
This 1974 pressing comes from the final years of the group's first era.
- Label: CAM Records, catalog no. TS1422
