Description

I am disposing of my extensive collection of badges and patches, which I built up mostly at concerts in the 1970s and 1980s. The majority are rock and heavy metal, but there are a few of other genres. I will also be listing a few T shirts and magazines (Kerrang!, NME, Sounds, etc.), plus concert programmes and related items, so please keep watching my listings. I have made every effort to keep all my items in excellent condition (although this has not always been possible with the paper items), so the vast majority are as new or nearly so.

This woven sew-on patch measures approximately 2 and a half inches (1 inch = 2.54 cm.) across, and is in excellent unworn condition. I purchased it at a concert at Trentham Gardens in about 1976, and it has been kept carefully in a drawer ever since, as I never got around to sewing it onto my denim jacket, so there are no marks or damage at all.

Payment accepted in sterling by cheque, postal order or International Money Order. Please note that Canadian or US Money Orders in USD cannot be cashed in England; only International Money Orders made out in Pounds Sterling are acceptable. British banks are no longer accepting Eurocheques.

PAYPAL PAYMENTS: Contrary to the information that ebay has placed on my listings, I certainly do not prefer PayPal. This is mainly because ebay.co.uk does not allow the seller to recover the PayPal fees, which are, for UK buyers, 3.4% of the total postage inclusive amount plus 20p. In accordance with PayPal’s Seller Protection Program, a tracking number must also be obtained. This costs a minimum of £4.30 within the UK, which is not cost-effective for either party on items of low value, and forces up PayPal's profits to the detriment of its customers. Until ebay.co.uk reverse this policy, I will not be accepting PayPal from UK bidders, who do have plenty of other options with which to make payment. I do accept PayPal from overseas bidders, however, as PayPal is realistically the only option for many foreign bidders, subject to a minimum purchase excluding carriage of £5. Please do not bid if these terms are not acceptable to you.

I charge for postage at the cost price only, and add nothing for packing. This item would cost approximately 24p to post to a UK address. Postage to Europe would be approximately 48p, and 78p to the rest of the world.

The exchange rate to be used for USA bidders is the buying rate at which UK banks purchase US Dollars, which is typically 10% above the selling rate, and today stands at $2.22 to the Pound.

Please note that I never end auctions early, as it is not fair on other bidders. Anyone making such a request will automatically be added to my Blocked Bidders list, along with non-payers, those who repeatedly pay late and those who refuse to return feedback when requested.

Finally, please do not be concerned if you do not hear from me immediately following the end of the auction, as I often have to work away from home for a few days.
