Good vinyl condition of five classic albums by Steely Dan an American jazz rock
band whose music also blends elements of funk, R&B, and lots of great Pop hits.
First album is the bands 1972 debut ‘Can’t Buy A Thrill’ album which was originally
released in two-channel stereo and also in a special four-channel quadraphonic mix.
With ten tracks that include “Brooklyn (Owes the Charmer Under Me)”, “Dirty Work”,
and two great hits “Do It Again” and “Reelin’ In The Years”.
The next album, is their second LP the 1973 ‘Countdown To Ecstasy’ a critical success
with eight songs that include the Steely Dan classics “Show Biz Kids”, “My Old School”
and “Bodhisattva”.
The third selection is the 1974 ‘Pretzel Logic’ one of the bands biggest commercial and
critical successes with eleven tracks like “Any Major Dude Will Tell You”, “Through with Buzz”,
and of course their 1970s FM classic “Rikki Don’t Lose That Number”.
The fourth LP is the 1975 ‘Katy Lied’ which is the first appearance of singer Michael McDonald
on one of their albums. With ten songs including “Black Friday”, “Bad Sneakers”, “Doctor Wu”,
“Everyone’s Gone to the Movies” and “Any World (That I’m Welcome To)” to name a few.
The fifth record is the 1977 ‘Aja’ which became the group’s best-selling album. An amazing
accomplishment of an album with seven tracks that include “Aja”, “Deacon Blues”, “Peg”,
and “Josie”.
