Here we have a choice vinyl rarity from the discography of bent rockers STEELY DAN: the Mobile Fidelity Original Master Recording edition of "Katy Lied," first released in 1975. This is an impeccably pressed version of the fourth Dan lp, easily one of the finest in the band's catalog, and a killer score for you audiophiles out there. "Katy Lied" was an beautifully produced album, the product of some of the finest studio technology in the business released at a time when MCA was pressing vinyl of abysmally poor quality. Of course, this album is available on compact disc but we have always been of the opinion that Steely Dan's music - particularly the first four albums - somehow loses something when transferred to the digital format. Lay your bucks down for this superior vinyl version, and hear this music the way it was meant to be heard. The cover shows very slight handling wear, but the record is in gorgeous shape.
