This is the VERY UNCOMMON WHITE LABEL PROMOTIONAL COPY OF THIS LP.

The cover has a white sticker with red print that reads: PROMOTION – Not For Sale

As you probably know, PROMOTIONAL RECORDS were ONLY released by record companies to the radio stations and DJs for on-air play, to department stores for in-store play and to VIPs in the music industry. They were produced in very small/limited quantities, and they were NOT available for sale to the general public; therefore, they are typically valued more by vinyl collectors. Often, certain promotional records are particularly hard-to-find and have become highly sought after by collectors and especially by the fans of certain recording artists and/or bands.

This was Steely Dan’s 4th LP. It was just one in a string of awesome LPs that followed their 1st LP, “Can’t Buy A Thrill”, followed by “Countdown to Ecstasy” and “Pretzel Logic”. “The Royal Scam” and “Aja” followed “Katy Lied”. All of these LPs were released between 1972 and 1978 and kept Steely Dan in the forefront of Rock & Roll music during most of the 1970s and beyond.

This LP has 10 GREAT Steely Dan cuts including: “Black Friday”, “Bad Sneakers”, “Doctor Wu”, “Your Gold Teeth”, “Everyone’s Gone To The Movies”, and “Any World (That I’m Welcome To)”. The WHOLE LP IS SIMPLY EXCELLENT!

The COVER would be graded in VERY STRONG VG CONDITION with light to moderate overall wear. However, a small tear near the top left corner of the rear cover slick may affect that grade some. There is some cracking and flaking on the top seam and lower area of the spine. The cover also has a couple of small corner pushes.

The VINYL is in NICE VG CONDITION with a number of VERY LIGHT/SLIGHT hairlines/scuffs that are SURFACE-ONLY and NONE Of THEM ARE “FEEL-ABLE” AT ALL . There are a couple of small, light and stray ball-point pen lines on each label.

Also included is the yellow/orange light-weight poster-board inner sleeve with the song lyrics and credits printed on both sides. It has a 3 ½ -inch split on the bottom and a couple of corner pushes.
