Description

An original 1st press of NUMBER 2 on USA Atlantic. ARTISAN SYMBOL showing - a sign of quality audio. Nice heavy-set vinyl. Importantly both the record labels and the cover mention the original Atlantic address of '1841 Broadway'. The vinyl comes housed in an original TEXTURED gatefold. We have the original bespoke inner too. There's a corrective lyrics sticker too - adding weight to this being the 1st version issued. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete. AND we also have a USA Stills live FABULOUS FORUM [Inglewood California] concert ticket in there too....The partial ticket stub is for event 817 - August 17th 1971..one month after the 1st release of "TWO".
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In lovely condition and has only seen very light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of slightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are nice and clean and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Importantly it's playing clean through all the lowkey and quiet moments. And remember this title is mostly acoustic and pretty darn fussy. A couple of slight ticks in one isolated spot in 'Partners'. A lot of copies will not quite cut it for - clean audio. But this example has been sufficiently lightly used enough to give you the full gamut and perfectly clean. If you are a big FAN - you owe it to yourself to REALLY hear this title properly for the first time. My recommendation - THIS is the way to do it! 
Cover (Ex) These textured covers are really quite difficult to find really well preserved. But this example has avoided ageing and nearly all signs of wear and tear - it is exceptionally well preserved. It is very impressive and even better on the interior. Some wear on spine but all text fully legible and nice square profile. I don't think many original examples will be at this standard. REAL nice. Please note what looks like a bluey-green hue discolouration on the rear - is the correct colour/image pallet. No issue at all.
Inner (Vg+) Surfaces look good. Split along bottom edge and has been taped up.
