STEPHEN STILLS- Atlantic TEST PRESSING “Change Partners” - 1971
This is a 7-inch 45 RPM test pressing of “Change Partners” manufactured by Atlantic Records in 1971.
“Change Partners" was released on the 1971 album “Stephen Stills 2”. It was released as the debut single from the album, peaking at number 43 on the Billboard Hot 100, in the summer of 1971 in a 9 week run on the chart.
Labels: Generic white labels with black print. The stereo mix is on one side of the single and the mono mix is on the flip side. (see photos).
Vinyl: M- (mint minus) with plenty of shine.
Sleeve: The original red company sleeve is excellent on one side and marked ‘71 on the reverse side with several folds and wrinkles.
Provenance: This copy originally belonged to Boston area disc jockey Ken Rapoza. After his death in a 1987 motorcycle accident, it was inherited by another Massachusetts disc jockey and collector who had it for more than 35 years before his death in 2024.
