Steve Lacy (with Roy Haynes, Charles Davis, John Ore) THE STRAIGHT HORN OF... Candid 9007 Stereo, recorded 1960 [we gather] Original stereo pressing.  Unusual design schema for LP label. DEEP GROOVE. A true rarity in any condition, and this one’s quite strong:  Plays NM-; jacket is NM:  rubber stamp and a ballpoint mark from retail on the back, and faint residue of one price sticker. Spindle traces on label show that it actually was played a bit, but you sure don’t hear it.


Here’s the fifth of about 50 batches of records from a fastidious NY-area collector with excellent taste. One owner since release in most cases. Very many of these were played either very little or very carefully. They’ve been carefully play-graded as well.  Low starts, as you can see, and almost no reserves. Bid with confidence.
