Steve Miller Band 'Sailor'.
Original UK black & silver Capitol/EMI label stereo press LP.
The second Steve Miller band LP issued in Oct 1968 and the last album to feature contributions by the original members Boz Scaggs & Jim Peterman. Scaggs later went on to a successful solo career. This is the third label variation of the first pressing with the earliest A-6 matrices and 1- 1- stampers which were issued in circa Jan 1969! The Garrod & Lofthouse laminated flipback sleeve is intact & in VG+ condition, with some corner/edge wear and laminate rubbing/creasing on the front cover. The spine is intact and fully readable, the company inner is intact in EX condition. The record is in visually EX condition, with a couple of faint sleeve removal hairlines & scuffs visible on each side. The labels are in EX condition, clean & bright with evidence of a few faint spindle markings on each side. The sound reproduction is EX, still clear & precise throughout, with definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some brief, low background noise during the run in grooves, overall a really great, loud & clear listen! The matrix nos. are; ST1-2984, A-6 stamper 1-A, ST2-2984 A-6 stamper 1-O. This is one of the later copies of the 1st pressing of the original 1968/9 UK stereo issue of this album!
All records are checked on an Acoustic Research deck before being listed and any flaws noted in the listing, so if you have any problems with the record please contact me for a full refund of original price & postage on return of the record (no partial refunds), no quibbles, no problems!! All grades are those used in the Record Collector Guide. All lp's are sent in cardboard record mailers with plastic covers and cardboard stiffeners to protect the LP's!! UK Signed For Postage is £4.50 for the first LP & is the same for up to four single LP's or two double LP's or more up to 2 KG!,
Will post to Europe (including all EU countries & Russia, Finland, Sweden, etc.) and Rest of the World (USA, Japan, Australia, Korea etc.), but airmail is limited to 5 or 6 lp's due to weight restrictions.
