Description
The full 40 minute version of Moonloop is Porcupine Trees most sought after recording due to the fact Steven Wilson has said publicly that he will not reissue it.
The track was issued in a shorter edit on the Sky Moves Sideways album and on the Moonloop EP. Here is a chance to own the most unique Moonloop item, one of only a few test pressings that were made of the full length version of the track. This is from Richard Allen's personal collection. Richard ran Delerium and signed Porcupine Tree in the early 1990s managing them up until 2003.
Every Delerium vinyl release had a special limited run of test pressings normally with custom sleeves but this one features the plastic sleeve that came with the finsished versions.
The test pressing dates from 2006 when a limited pressing of the full length Moonloop (which only came out on CD as a fan club release in 1996) was produced on vinyl.
This test pressing is black vinyl (the retail editions were pressed in black white and clear vinyl)
MOONLOOP
Recorded during the Sky Moves Sideways sessions in 1994 the full length Moonloop was a 40 minute improvised jam. Edits of the track appeared on The Sky Moves Sideways in 1995 and on the Moonloop EP. The full length version was issued in a limited edition of 500 copies in 1996 and then was reissued in a limited run on CD and on vinyl in 2006. The vinyl release of the full length Moonloop features the track spread over two sides of a 12" record.
