Item:  Phil Spector “Back to Mono (1958-1969)” box set with five LP’s (this is the 12” vinyl records version of this box set from 1991, not the compact discs version that was also issued); still sealed in the original shrink wrap.  (1991 Phil Spector Records, Inc).  There is a sticker on the shrink wrap (on front of box) that says that the box set includes a 96-page book and Phil Spector’s “classic Rock’n’Roll Christmas album.”  There are four separate song lists listed on the back of the box, but the Christmas album song list is not listed there, so you won’t see any of the Christmas songs listed (but below the song lists on the back it also says “includes Phil Spector’s classic Rock’n’Roll Christmas album).”  Please see the photos for more details.

Size/Measurements:  The box measures approximately 12 & ½ inches x 12 & ½ inches x 7/8ths of an inch (or maybe a bit more than 7/8ths of an inch, but less than 1 inch). 

Condition/Appearance:  The box is still sealed in the shrink wrap and looks to be in great shape with minimal wear from storage/handling/age.  The shrink wrap is mostly intact with some areas where the wrap has opened, mostly on the sides and corners, but that is not unusual for a piece like this.  The corners show only a very small amount of wear consistent with most/any box set that’s been exposed to storage and handling; but otherwise the   areas where the wrap has opened and exposed the paperboard of the box (mostly on sides) are not damaged or discolored and look fine.  On the front of the box on the bottom half just right of center there is an area of missing shrink wrap that’s about four inches long and 3/4ths of an inch wide at the widest point, but the exposed paperboard looks just as nice as the rest of the box, as it’s been stored nicely with other records and not subjected to any surface wear.  You can see this section in some of the photos (one of the photos of the front of the box shows this clearly:  it runs vertically parallel to Phil Spector’s shoulder/arm on the graphic.  Another photo where you can see it is the one showing the lower left corner of the front of the box, where it says “Back to Mono (1958-1969)” in red.  The section of missing wrap is on the far right side of this photo).  The paperboard has a matte finish, so in the photos you will see some contrast of texture between the areas where the wrap has come open and the majority of the box that is still covered in wrap, as the wrap has a shiny texture and causes the light to reflect and make it appear lighter than the matte texture (which absorbs the light more).  On the back of the box, near the upper left corner there is a slight red pen mark on the shrink wrap, not on the actual box (I was able to shift the wrap slightly with my finger and could see that the mark moved with the wrap and did not appear on the paperboard beneath).  You can see this mark in the photo that is cropped to show a close-up of the upper left corner area of the back.  The box set also has the original UPC code sticker on the lower right corner of the back.  Any dark/bluish spots that appear on the item in the photos are reflections of the camera and/or the background.

Most or all of the items I sell are estate items, so please remember that even if they are in excellent and like-new condition, they are pre-owned and not directly from a factory or store.  Many of the items I sell are also vintage, so they will likely show some light signs of age and light wear compared to something you would buy brand new in a store today, even if they are “new old stock” or otherwise in excellent vintage condition.  For example, something that is “new old stock” in excellent condition from the 1950’s is almost always going to show light signs of age and storage/handling wear, in contrast to something that was manufactured a couple months ago and is on display at the mall.  However, I will always note any significant wear, flaws, etc., regardless of whether an item is “new old stock” or used.        

No international bidders or shipping.  I sell and ship to bidders within the U.S.A. only (including Hawaii and Alaska).

Shipping is free and includes delivery confirmation.  This item will be shipped with delivery confirmation via the United States Postal Service anywhere in the U.S.A.  I do not ship to any address outside of the U.S.A.  I will ship the item within one business day of receiving payment.  I will pack the item well and with care to make sure that your item will arrive safe and sound.
