Description

2 Riverside Records, LPs. Riverside Records, known for great jazz, also released a series of LPs relate to sports car racing. Here are two of the dozen or so released recordings. Both are in playable condition, with some scratches- it sounds as though you may be approaching in a car that is traveling down a gravel road... No skipping, but surely not high fidelity... if that is important here ?....
Stirling Moss, A Portrait of Britains Greatest Racing Driver in his own words.  RIVERSIDE RLP 5004 (a Sports Car special) Stirling talks about racing, and just his favorite cars (of the day)- a mini Cooper, and others. The time was maybe 1956.
Sports Cars At Sebring IN HI-FI - Recorded at the 1959 Florida International 12 Hour Grand Prix of Endurance. RIVERSIDE A Sports Car Special. Riverside 5015. On the back of the jacket is a map of the track.  Recordings are listed as follows:
1. 2 litre Testa Rosa Ferrari 2. 3 litre Testa Rosa Ferrari 3. 3 litre Aston Martin 4. RSK Porshes... 5. Pulling out for practice: DB;2 litre Ferrari; AC Bristol.... Alpha Romeo Veloce.... Aston Martin.... 6. Pulling out to practice: 3 litre Ferrari; RSK Porsche
Side 2
1.  Accelerating out of a turn: AC Bristol; DB; Elva; MG.....Arnolt Bristol...(others)
2. Decelerating before the corner: AC Bristol; three Alpha Romeos: O.S.C.A. 950; ...Ferrari GT.... two 3 litre Ferrari; Austin "Sprite";....Arnolt Bristol....2 1/2 litre Maserati....
This is something to a few people out there, I'm sure. I thought it was fun to listen to... Shipping is $4., as I am not sure what is involved in shipping this package- that's why the price starts at $30.... If you are not in the states, contact me before bidding -for shipping costs- as it will cost more than $4. No returns.
As an additional note, I like to show and tell the worst. I overlooked to note that the seam on the cover jacket to the Sebring LP is a little rough at the top- it's worn through. So... it's not museum quality, but still a lot of fun.
