ITEM DESCRIPTION:
This remarkable and quite rare LP from RCA Victor (LM-1238, US pressing, plum/silver label, mono) entitled “Stokowski Conducts Percy Grainger Favorites” features the meeting of two extraordinary musicians, with the charismatic maestro leading “His Symphony Orchestra” in a selection of the Australian composer’s most captivating works, several of which include the piano playing of Grainger himself. As the auther of the liner notes aply points out, Side 2 of the disc “amounts to a concert of Stokowski Favorites” – lovely orchestral lollipops, including 2 orchestral transcriptions made by the conductor himself.
Incidentally, the titles on Side 1 were among the last commercial recordings Grainger made.

Incidentally, there are superlative liner notes on the reverse side of the jacket, in English only, by Robert A. Hague.
CONDITION – PLEASE READ VERY CAREFULLY:
The gradations of condition I use are as follows: MINT, Near-Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.
The condition of the jacket is VERY GOOD. The only real flaw concerns a discreet tape repair to the lower edge. There is also very minor bumping/wear at corners, but that is all. There are no seamsplits (aside from the tape-repaired side), bends, owners' markings, or other defects, and the album remains solid, bright, and attractive – overall, a very good collector's copy.
The condition of the LP itself is EXCELLENT. Although the surfaces are not absolutely silent, really this is a very fine copy and the playback is superb. Those requiring CD silent surfaces are kindly advised to look elsewhere. Overall, this rates as an excellent collector's copy.
