Description
Stove pipe No 1 Sam Jones I've got salvation in my heart / Lord don't you know I have no friend like you on brown label Columbia record 210-D (81925 and 81927).
Here is a link to the song on youtube. Though not my actual copy.
The record appears visually unplayed. Bought in USA many years ago in box of ex shop stock in an antique mall. Sleeve had deteriorated substantially and is fragile. Some slight foxing of the label. Please see pictures which form part of the description. I have endeavoured to show the centre of the record has none of the usual tell tale signs of being placed on a turntable and to show the general shine of the record. However, I can give no observation on the quality of the record pressing as I don't have anything that I'd deem suitable to play this on; I have a jukebox, but wouldn't want to risk that as it has a heavy tone arm. These two sides were his first recordings and were made in 1924 and this record is on the early Columbia label (later records appear on black Columbia and on derivative labels). Although I've collected 78 records I really only play stuff on the jukebox and this seems too important and unsuitable for that. This isn't an easy to find record, especially so in this condition. Any questions, please ask before bidding and in good time to allow me to reply - thank you. I always reciprocate feedback. Will ship well packed, but equally, if a buyer wants to enquire about a possible meeting when rules allow or wishes to make their own arrangements for collection, make contact to discuss. Sent Hermes tracked in the UK. Elsewhere, I will use Ebays global shipping programme. Note outside the UK buyer may incur customs and other costs which will be their responsibility - frustrating, I know, but there's nothing I can do about that.
