An incredible NM- 1S/1S shaded dog pressing of Richard Strauss' Also sprach Zarathustra performed by the Chicago Symphony conducted by Fritz Reiner. RCA Living Stereo LSC 1806. For some, the holy grail of the Living Stereo catalog.

Dead Wax Info:
Side 1: A1, the first matrix, so this is among the earliest, best sounding of the pressings. Indianapolis “I.”
Side 2: A1, the first matrix, so this is among the earliest, best sounding of the pressings. Indianapolis “I” is very faint.
Vinyl:
Side 1: Excellent++. Band one and two has a hairline scratch. There is another hairline scratch of 1.5 inches in bands 4 and 5. There is a mar at the end of band 4 that may sound for a turn or two.
Side 2: Excellent+. Band 4 has a deeper ½ inch scratch that may sound. There are light hairline scratches in bands 4 and 5. But the side is extremely clean.
COVER: Really Mint. There is no red label on this cover. Will post an addtional photo. No flaking on any of the edges. No mucilage on front where red RCA publicity label was pulled off the cover. No visible wear along the opening. No chipping along the top fold and other folds. In AMAZING condition. Like a new cover. Unbelievable at this age. Much better than the copy that sold for $350 recently. Makes that look like it came from a tag sale. This is from the earliest of covers!
