Description

One of the most sought-after recordings of all time, the TAS-listed Stravinsky Petrushka, conducted by the legendary Ansermet and the L'Orchestra de la Suisse Romande.  Decca SXL 2011 ffss.  First 1958 most desireable pressing ED1 wide band or "original pressing by."

Record carefully cleaned on VPI cleaner with Record Research fluids, then visually inspected under bright light.  Any questionalble marks are then play-tested on VPI Scoutmaster for audibility.  Record is also play-tested for vibrancy.

Visual grade: NM- (only the lightest scuffs from sleeve, no spindle marks, deep glossy surfaces)

Play grade: NM- (only the occasional pop here and there and some extremely light surface noise, (1.5 on a scale of 1 to 10), at the beginning of side one; most of the album is extremely quiet.  Sound is extemely vibrant  with great soundstaging, realism and impact.  Astonishing in fact.
