Description
Great unhinged 1968 original press of this unique artist. Stud Cole is kinda hard to describe, is he rock, rockabilly, garage or all things mixed together, making for a one-of-a-kind performer. He was doing this before the Cramps! The "Burn baby Burn" side is unglued (In a good way) demented Psychobilly. It starts with a scream, then a loud power chord on the guitar, then it shifts to a completely different tempo with crazy disturbing lyrics and a pretty good guitar solo thrown in, whew! The "Always" side is a "ballad" of sorts, but Stud didn't do anything "safe". Once again, the lyrics are a creepy love song with Studs voice all reverby and breathy, actually it's quite chilling. Also, the guitar noodles along for most of the song. You can hear both songs on You Tube. The record is in Excellent condition and the sleeve is a generic green one. This is not the reissue. And even better yet, it's Autographed by Stud himself on the "Burn..." sides (See Pic) I think it reads " Ollivette, lovely lady, love ya Stud Cole".
