Released in 1981, Paradise Theatre captures Styx at the height of their arena-rock era. Built around the rise and fall of a fictional theater, the album includes enduring Styx favorites such as “The Best of Times,” “Too Much Time on My Hands,” “Rockin' the Paradise,” and “Nothing Ever Goes as Planned.”

Two years later, Styx expanded the concept-album approach with Kilroy Was Here, a theatrical rock narrative set against a dystopian backdrop. The album opens with one of the band's most instantly recognizable songs, “Mr. Roboto,” and also includes “Don't Let It End,” “Cold War,” and “Heavy Metal Poisoning.”
