This is the Subhumans' (from Vancouver, Canada) first 12" E.P. entitled "The Subhumans" but known as the "Death was too kind" E.P. released in 1979 on Quintessence Records. Features the legendary song "F*ck You" which has been covered by fellow Vancouverites D.O.A. as well as the speed metal band Overkill. It was recorded at Little Mountain Sound in Vancouver and was engineered by a young Bob Rock, now famous for his work with Metallica and other mainstream bands! YES, Vancouver native Bob Rock used to play in a new wave/punk band named The Payola$ with Paul Hyde and engineer records by Vancouver punk bands! Produced by the Subhumans and Sgt. Rock. Features the famous album cover with four guys in aviator suits by Ted Thomas and the Subhumans. Art Direction by Eli Productions. Track listing: 1. Death Was Too Kind 2. F*ck You 3. On this release, the Subhumans were: Wimpy Roy (AKA Brian "Sunny Boy Roy" Goble) - Lead Vocals, Gerry Useless (AKA Gerry Hannah) - Bass, background vocals Jim Imagawa (AKA Koichi Imagawa) - Drums, background shouts and Mike Graham (AKA Mike Normal) - Guitar, background shouts. Shortly after the release of this 7", Gerry Hannah quit the band, sold his guitar and became an urban-guerilla! He spent five years in prison in the beginning of the 80's for bombing a nuclear-warhead plant in Toronto and a dam that threatened the environment in B.C.! Talk about being dedicated to your cause! :) RECORD and JACKET in MINT CONDITION except for some barely noticeable yellowish stains around the "e" of "the" on front cover and on the llower right corner of front cover and on the top of back cover.
