This auction will benefit Sugar Pie DeSanto, who tragically lost her husband and home to a fire in Oakland on Oct. 26. You can read a San Francisco Chronicle article by clicking on this link. 100% of the final sale price from this auction will go to a fund that the local Wells Fargo branch has set up for her (Click Here For Details.)This is a rare LP of her work that was issued by the local Jasman label in the mid-80s and compiles songs of hers from 1968 through the early 80's. It includes the funk classics "Git Back" and "Straighten It Out With Your Man", as well as personal soul favorite "Mama", as well as several other excellent songs. I urge anyone who would like to own this LP to bid generously considering that it will directly go to helping Ms. DeSanto. Any questions, please ask.

Grading: I grade conservatively and base my evaluation on the look AND sound of the record. I grade on a scale of NM, VG++, VG+, VG, VG- (I will rarely list a record less than VG+ unless its scarcity warrants it). Shipping: Media mail shipping within the U.S. is $4. Priority shipping is $7.50. Insurance is $1.30 (for up to $50 worth of coverage - add an extra dollar per $50 of coverage). International shipping is $7 to Canada, $12.50 for airmail to Europe and $13.25 to Asia and Australia (other locations will be quoted at auction's end). Sorry, I won't ship by surface mail for international packages. Multiple items won = combined shipping. I generally go to the post office 2-3 times a week to ship out packages, so you should get your item quickly! Important: All records are packed using standard record mailers and two cardboard fillers. LP's are shipped with the disc outside the jacket in a plastic sleeve to prevent seam splits.
